Purpose:
- The Production Manager is responsible for Pipe cutting, Vessel Fabrication, and Spool Fabrication.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all shop safety guidelines and procedures are being followed at all times
- Ensure all employees are wearing proper PPE at all times
- Manage and oversee the production schedule through all facets of fabrication.
- Work directly with fabricators in each department to ensure production standards and timelines are met.
- Act as a mentor to welders, to ensure that quality is consistently improving
- When required, facilitate the need for pipe fitting/welding, including self-perform if necessary
- Receive and deliver blueprints accordingly.
- Receive and review daily weld reports prior to submitting to Data Collection
- Review and approve timesheets for employees within fabrication
- Coordinate with Direct Report, as well as parallel supervisors to ensure overall schedule is on track.
- Ensure fabrication employees scheduled work hours are adhered to, including start time, lunch breaks, and quitting time
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent walking and climbing (stairs, ladders, terrain)
- Frequent lifting (up to and including 50 pounds)
- Frequent bending, twisting and standing
- Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions
- Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week including weekend assignments as required
- The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. This includes: hard hat, safety glasses, reflective vest, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, or other protective equipment as required by the location
Experience:
- 3-5 years of fabrication or related experience
Skills:
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, machines, equipment
- Ability to learn and gain knowledge
- Ability to follow work orders or receive instructions
- Ability to adhere to Safety policies and procedures
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required
Licenses or Certifications:
- OSHA 10 Certification Preferred
