Purpose:

• The Production Manager is responsible for Pipe cutting, Vessel Fabrication, and Spool Fabrication.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all shop safety guidelines and procedures are being followed at all times
• Ensure all employees are wearing proper PPE at all times
• Manage and oversee the production schedule through all facets of fabrication.
• Work directly with fabricators in each department to ensure production standards and timelines are met.
• Act as a mentor to welders, to ensure that quality is consistently improving
• When required, facilitate the need for pipe fitting/welding, including self-perform if necessary
• Receive and deliver blueprints accordingly.
• Receive and review daily weld reports prior to submitting to Data Collection
• Review and approve timesheets for employees within fabrication
• Coordinate with Direct Report, as well as parallel supervisors to ensure overall schedule is on track.
• Ensure fabrication employees scheduled work hours are adhered to, including start time, lunch breaks, and quitting time

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent walking and climbing (stairs, ladders, terrain)
• Frequent lifting (up to and including 50 pounds)
• Frequent bending, twisting and standing
• Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions
• Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week including weekend assignments as required
• The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. This includes: hard hat, safety glasses, reflective vest, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, or other protective equipment as required by the location

Experience:

• 3-5 years of fabrication or related experience

Skills:

• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, machines, equipment
• Ability to learn and gain knowledge
• Ability to follow work orders or receive instructions
• Ability to adhere to Safety policies and procedures

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required

Licenses or Certifications:

• OSHA 10 Certification Preferred
