What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ship Superintendent Tank Cleaning position at MID-ATLANTIC MARINE CLEANING?
Mid-Atlantic Marine Cleaning maintains a high-performance, fast paced culture working aboard U.S. Navy and Commercial industrial surface ships. This high level of performance demands that the Ship Superintendent works quickly and accurately to lead the project team through each phase of a given project, while responding and adapting to customers needs and expectations.
Within specific areas of responsibility for the Ship Superintendent will include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure all standards of service we provide to our customers are being met.
- Lead Project Teams and facilitate the communication and interaction amongst the functional representatives (internal and external).
- Track and relay project milestones to Production Manager.
- Develop and implement recovery plans for off-schedule activities and unanticipated events.
- Work with all internal departments to ensure proper flow and implementation of materials, quality standards and safety requirements.
- Address, resolve and deescalate conflicts with customers and ships force.
· Recommend and identify efforts to improve existing processes to enhance quality or on-time delivery.
· Ensure communications with all parties through various forums to avoid conflicts, meet deadlines, and coordinate activities on the deck plates.
· Generate IDR/CFR’s and send to Production Manager for review prior to submittal.
· Work with the Production Manager to identify relevant training needs and opportunities.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience Requirements
· Minimum of five years of shipboard experience required.
· Excellent management and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to share information, goals, opportunities, success and failure with the appropriate parties.
· Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills.
· High proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and other operational programs as needed.
· Strong social and cooperative skills, often in high-stress environments.
· Creativity and flexibility in order to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities.
· Ability to troubleshoot in real-time, often in high-stress environments.
Physical and environmental requirements
· Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs.

· Willing to travel as needed/required.
· May be required to work 12 hour shifts.

Pay: $57,910.39 - $77,758.47 per year
