What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical AR Representative position at Mid-Atlantic Nephrology Associates PA?
Large Nephrology practice seeks experienced AR Rep position for its Halethorpe office. We are looking for the right AR team player with prior knowledge of insurance follow-up, and CPT/ICD 10 coding knowledge. AR candidate must have good working knowledge of insurance follow-up protocols and proven track record of AR success. We are looking for someone that possesses strong computer skills and a solid knowledge of healthcare concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to follow established office policies and procedures of the practice, while maintaining a professional and business-like demeanor. Candidate will be a highly organized, skilled professional with positive communication skills. Previous experience with Allscripts PM and nephrology a plus.
Duties/Responsibilities:
. Work outstanding pending and denied claims
. Correct patient accounts as needed, verify eligibility, review effective dates, and obtain referrals/authorization as needed
. Balance batch each day for patient adjustments
. Take patient phone calls
. Perform all other job-related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
. Previous billing/AR experience
. Work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction
. Make appropriate job decisions following standard office policies and past precedents
. Must have effective oral and written communications skills
. Previous computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite/Outlook/Practice Management System
