Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) invites applications for a Graduate Medical Education (GME) Summer Intern to join our Medical Education department. This position is a full-time internship opportunity based out of our regional office located in Washington D.C. with a hybrid work model . Please note, this position is ineligible for benefits. Reporting to the Director of Medical Education, the Graduate Medical Education Summer Intern will support the administrative functions of the Graduate Medical Education (GME) program, primarily supporting the accreditation process for the Family Medicine Residency Program (FMRP) as it seeks approval from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). You will gain hands-on program management experience by coordinating the application process, reviewing and analyzing ACGME requirements and guidelines, drafting key documents and supporting materials, scheduling and facilitating program meetings, and providing overall support to the GME department throughout the accreditation process. This position offers hands-on experience in Graduate Medical Education within an integrated healthcare system, allowing the intern to work closely with experienced physician and staff leadership.
You can expect to :
- Provide administrative support to the Director of Medical Education, Associate Director of Graduate Medical Education, and Physician Program Director
- Ensure program materials comply with ACGME requirements and assist in drafting components of the FMRP accreditation application
- Assist in drafting key program documents, such as job descriptions, policies and procedures, curriculum outlines, and other deliverables under the guidance of the GME team
- Schedule and facilitate meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders, and maintain meeting notes and minutes
- Research and report on key supplemental resources, and provide day-to-day administrative support for the GME program as needed
What is required :
The starting hourly rate for this position ranges from $20.00 to $25.00 which considers an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and prior job experience, training, market data, and other relevant factors. Internships are non-exempt positions and are not eligible for employee benefits.
