Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) invites applications for a Wellness Programs Summer Intern to join our Professional Development and Wellness (PDW) department. This position is a part-time, 32 hours per week, internship opportunity based out of our regional office located in Washington D.C. with a hybrid work model . Reporting to the Senior Program Manager of Wellness , the Wellness Programs Summer Intern will support the Wellness Department in advancing various initiatives designed to improve the well-being of MAPMG physicians and staff. This internship offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with the Senior Director of Organizational Culture and Wellness, Senior Program Manager of Wellness Senior Program Manager of Mentoring and Onboarding across multiple initiatives to advance strategic operational goals for the Wellness Department. The intern will help develop, promote, manage, and evaluate wellness programs while gaining hands-on experience in the corporate wellness arena.
You can expect to :
- Assist with the ongoing maintenance of the Professional Development & Wellness (PDW) Program database, tracking attendance and engagement. Help with program evaluation through data collection and survey analysis
- Support the promotion and communication of wellness resources and initiatives through various marketing channels, including WordPress websites, Microsoft Viva Engage groups, SharePoint sites, email communications, webinars, podcasts, and other campaigns
- Assist with the logistics and planning of wellness offerings and events, including interest-based activities, sports clubs, and wellness giveaway mailings
- Provide support for the planning, promotion, and evaluation of wellness programs. This includes designing promotional materials, coordinating implementation, and summarizing program outcomes for stakeholders
- Support the promotion and enhancement of the MAPMG Peer Support Program, ensuring effective communication and program impact
- Support onboarding initiatives for newly hired physicians and staff, including observing MAPMG’s New Hire Physician 2-Day Orientation, updating the WordPress webpage to ensure relevant and organized content, and assisting with the logistics, evaluation, and communication efforts of the Shared Success Mentoring Program, including the creation of a monthly newsletter for mentors
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create new wellness opportunities. Focus on mental well-being, resiliency skill-building, burnout prevention, joy in medicine, and colleague bonding initiatives
What is required :
The starting hourly rate for this position ranges from $20.00 for undergraduate students to $25.00 for graduate students which considers an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and prior job experience, training, market data, and other relevant factors. Internships are non-exempt positions and are not eligible for employee benefits.
