Board Certified Dermatology Practice seeking a new Nurse Practitioner (NP). Our privately-owned dermatology practice is in Southern Maryland.
We are looking to add a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to our growing team. Must have at least one year of Dermatology, Primary Care, Pediatric, Ob/GYN or equivalent experience and an excellent bedside manner. The successful candidate will have a busy schedule on day one. Applicant should have at least one-year experience as a (NP) in a clinic setting preferably in Primary Care, Pediatrics, or Dermatology.
This is a dynamic and innovative practice with non-surgical (SRT) / MOHs skin cancer specialization. We have a passion for medical dermatological services and procedures.
Modernizing Medicine based EMR system, extensive utilization of MA support, General Derm, Medical Derm and Surgical Derm.

Job Description & Duties
Your actual responsibilities as a dermatology nurse depends on your facility, your patient population, and where you live.
A dermatology NP basic duty includes:
- Perform a physical assessment on each patient, paying special attention to the skin.
- Assist the physician in the performance of skin exams, monitor and record a patient's medical history, and be aware of relevant test results.
- Assist the dermatologist with outpatient and surgical dermatology procedures.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for clients who are undergoing treatment for a variety of skin conditions and diseases.
- Assist with procedures using specialized medical equipment, including cosmetic dermatology
- Assess, monitor, and treat skin wounds, mainly burns.
- Perform wound care and be familiar with many types of dressings, topical medications, and would care routines.
- Be familiar with how to treat acne, psoriasis, eczema and diagnose skin cancer.
- Educate each patient on how to protect their skin and care for skin diseases and conditions at home.
- Qualifications
- Must have at least one year post training experience in Clinic
- Ability to work full-time
- Credentialing can be done in 6-8 weeks or less
- Ability to work as a W2
