- Level 2 Technician: $26.00-$37.00/Hourly

- Following all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, fire watch, and fall protection protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Repairing and/or replacing motors, pumps, cylinders, valves, and other key components to keep equipment in top working condition.
- Ensuring the maintenance needs of serviced equipment are met to maintain customer safety and satisfaction.
- Torch cutting and removing outdated chutes, guide rails, and other components as necessary.
- Installing trash compactors, fabricating chutes, and setting up cardboard balers for customers as needed.
- Performing preventative maintenance, such as tire rotations, lubrication, vehicle component replacements, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles.
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical and hydraulic systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Documenting all work performed through thorough and timely completion of work orders and electronic records.
- Partnering with the Service Manager to continually improve your skillset through Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems' technician training and hands-on coaching.
- Taking on other duties as needed to support the team and enhance customer satisfaction.
- 4 years' experience with hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, and hoses
- 4 years' of MIG and stick welding experience
- 4 years' of automotive electrical experience
- 4 years' of diesel engine repair is preferred
- Must have own tools
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Class A or B CDL is preferred
- Possess working mechanical knowledge, including the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
- Ability to work comfortably in tight spaces as needed.
- Adaptability to varied environmental conditions, indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach effectively.
- Capability to lift and move objects weighing more than 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Independence in entering and exiting various vehicles as required.
- Willingness to pass a DOT physical exam for safety compliance.
