Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supervise staff at assigned Center, including hiring, terminating, coaching, and evaluating.
- Supervise volunteers and maintain a listing of volunteers and coordinating activities and appropriate recordkeeping.
- Ensure the center and employees meet and adhere to childcare licensing requirements and performance standards.
- Ensure all facilities are clean, secure, safe, and well-maintained.
- Order and maintain center equipment and materials.
- Ensure inventory of center supplies is conducted and submitted to the Central Office accounting department before the end of the school year.
- Complete appropriate record-keeping.
- Monitor and supervise children to ensure safety and appropriateness of activities.
- Engage parents in educational activities and discussions about their child’s learning and development.
- Observe staff in the classroom environment and provide support as needed always prioritizing the safety of children.
- Collaborate with the appropriate team and community members on a regular basis to assess and aid children and families in meeting goals, providing services, and responding appropriately to any crisis or emergency situations.
- Provide support and education to families in the areas of family services, health, nutrition, dental, mental health, financial issues, and disabilities to strengthen families.
- Assist parents with individualized goal setting by providing a program that meets the family’s interests, and abilities. Facilitate appointment-making by families to obtain necessary services, including assisting with transportation needs, appointment reminders, and direct advocacy with service providers.
- Complete required reports, records, and case notes on each child. Enter data into appropriate software programs.
- Plan, schedule, and facilitate parent meetings and trainings on a variety of topics.
- Assist or facilitate translation support to families to enable participation in program functions.
- Coordinate student recruiting efforts; ensure full enrollment; maintain participant waiting lists.
- Advocate for the MCCC programs in interactions and recruitment efforts with clients and community affiliates.
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned.
