THE POSITION…
As an Engineering Technician, you will assist engineers in the design and development of new avionics and related products for the best customers from all over the world – from general, business, and commercial aviation. You will assemble and rework prototypes, and complete documentation to provide engineering support. To be successful in this role, you’ll bring an aptitude for fine, detailed mechanical work with a high level of accuracy. You’ll be part of the reason our customers consider us a premier instrument, avionics, and aircraft power solutions provider.
THIS POSITION MAY BE FOR YOU IF…
- You have an associate’s degree in electronics technology, or related field.
- You have a minimum 5 years’ relevant electronics technician experience.
- You have excellent soldering skills, both with through-hole parts and fine-pitch surface mount components.
- You have the ability to assemble, test, troubleshoot and repair printed circuit boards and electronic components, parts, equipment, test fixtures and systems including prototypes, testing and modifications.
- You have the ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, board level schematics and specifications.
- You are proficient with Microsoft Office products.
- You have strong attention to detail.
- You are organized, focused and results oriented.
- You are a problem-solver with critical thinking and prioritizing skills.
- You have good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM ONE DAY TO THE NEXT…
- Build prototype printed circuit board assemblies
- Rework and revise printed circuit boards as required
- Order required parts and components from external suppliers or internal parts storage
- Assist engineers in debug efforts of printed circuit boards and test equipment
- Build test equipment and cables to support product test and evaluation
- Maintain an organized lab space
- Work with multiple engineering disciplines collaboratively in a team environment
