THE POSITION…
As the Facility Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for the physical condition and appearance of the facility with a strong focus on cleanliness, safety and functionality. You will oversee the maintenance and repair of the building, grounds, equipment, and systems, such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, as well as general contractor projects. To be successful in this role, you will need the ability to identify issues quickly, analyze situations, and implement solutions to address maintenance problems and operational challenges. THIS POSITION MAY BE FOR YOU IF…
- You have a high school diploma or GED.
- You have a minimum 8 years experience in building maintenance and repair.
- You have a minimum 3 years supervisory experience.
- You have a solid understanding of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.
- You have experience working with contractors and skilled tradesmen.
- You have excellent customer service skills.
- You are proficient with Microsoft Office.
- You have strong attention to detail.
- You are organized, focused and results oriented.
- You are a problem-solver with critical thinking and prioritizing skills.
- You have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
WE WOULD REALLY LIKE IT IF… (but it’s not a deal breaker)
- You have experience as a general contractor.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM ONE DAY TO THE NEXT…
- Perform regular supplemental cleaning and sanitization of all areas of the facility
- Perform general facility maintenance and repair
- Respond to all interior facility cleaning needs and requests that arise throughout the workday
- Coach, develop, motivate, and mentor direct reports
- Coordinate with outside contractors to ensure equipment and systems are properly maintained
- Perform outside cleaning and maintenance duties such as trimming trees, maintaining lawn sprinkler system, removing debris, de-icing walkways, or removing snow using shovels and brooms
- Perform special deep cleaning projects throughout the year
- Monitor, track, and respond to building support email system utilizing MS Outlook and MS SharePoint.
- Perform physical movements such as climbing, stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, frequently lifting up to 50 lbs.
