Job Description:
We are seeking a friendly and helpful Customer Service Associate I to join our team. As a key member of our library's front-line staff, you will be responsible for creating a positive experience for our patrons by responding to their inquiries, resolving issues, and providing information about our services and resources.
You will work closely with our Branch Manager and other team members to ensure that our customers receive excellent service and support. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in your community while developing your communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to patron inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide information about library services and resources to patrons.
- Work effectively in a team environment to achieve common goals.
- Perform cash handling and operate a Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills and accuracy with cash handling.
- Availability to work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends.
