Job Description:
- Initiate patient evaluations, documenting chief complaints, histories, and ocular findings accurately.
- Perform pre-exam testing, including visual acuity assessments, confrontational visual field testing, and pupillary evaluations.
- Assist with minor surgical procedures, laser treatments, and contact lens fittings.
Responsibilities include making introductions, establishing rapport with patients, and ensuring seamless interactions between patients, doctors, and staff. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, performing routine maintenance on clinical equipment, and adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or equivalent, proficiency in medical and ophthalmic terminology, and strong organizational skills. Previous experience as an Ophthalmic Technician is required, along with certifications such as COT or COA. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
