QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Previous high school coaching experience preferred.
2. Ability to motivate and connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
3. Effective communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and staff.
4. Basic knowledge of athletic safety practices and training.
5. Certification in First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain).
PERFORMANCE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Program Development: Design and implement practice and game plans that build athletic skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
2. Player Development: Ability to focus on skill development, physical conditioning and mental toughness.
3. Game Management: Lead the team in games, making strategic decisions and ensuring all safety and game regulations are followed.
4. Supervision & Safety: Prioritize student-athlete safety during practices, games, and travel.
5. Community Engagement: Strengthen relationships with parents, staff, and Beecher community to foster team support and engagement.
6. Administrative Duties: Maintain records, manage equipment, oversee field use, and attend district meeting as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
Newly hired employees MUST satisfactorily pass:
1. Police clearance including digital fingerprinting
2. Drug test
3. Reference Checks
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
In order to complete an application for an athletic coach position, you must be registered with ESS Midwest (formerly PCMI), who is our athletic coach contracted service company.
