POSITION :
Westwood Heights Schools is seeking (1) one Middle School Physical Education Teacher / Health. Applicants must hold a valid teaching certificate with an endorsement to teach Physical Education / Health. Qualified Applicants should apply on-line.
REPORTS TO : Building Principal
JOB PURPOSE AND FOCUS :
Under the direct supervision of the school principal, provides an education program for secondary students. Is a content specialist in his / her assigned subjects. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly. Provides effective leadership that will ensure a positive learning environment and will stress the importance of academic achievement. Demonstrates a high degree of ethics, professionalism, human relations and is a positive role model for all students.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Valid and appropriate State of Michigan Teaching Certificate for middle school education with endorsement for teaching physical education.
- Candidate must exhibit a desire and ability to work with and relate to middle school students.
- The candidate must have a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with middle school students, colleagues and the community.
- The candidate must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
- The candidate must be able to utilize building technology for record-keeping and instructional purposes.
