The Para-Educator is responsible for assisting the program instructor in the delivery of instruction, reinforcement of instruction and the remediation of students in the area of responsibility. The Para-Educator may be assigned to one classroom or to a variety of assignments including clinical sites, depending on the needs of students. Para-Educators report to the assigned classroom instructor.

Available :

One (1) full-time position available. 7.0 hours per day, 185 days per year including paid holidays (Academic Calendar).

Salary :

Salary : $16.36 - $23.40 per hour. Genesee Intermediate Educational Support Personnel Association (GIESPA).

We offer five different health insurance plans along with life insurance, dental, vision, and disability insurance after one full day of employment. After 5 years of service with GISD, para-educators are eligible for 2-person or full family health insurance.

Qualifications :

Associate's degree in program related field.

Experience : Minimum of 4000 recent and relevant work hours in the program related field within the past six years. Prior experience working with high school students is desirable.
