Position involves preparing for and teaching courses in assigned discipline in order to achieve course requirements and student success outcomes. Course assignments may occur in a classroom setting, learning lab, online or dual enrollment environment.
Mid Michigan is seeking individuals to teach within the following Advanced Manufacturing areas:
- PLC Technologies
- Fluid Power
- Hydraulics
- Mechanical Controls
- AC/DC
- Blueprint Reading
Applicants must be available to teach evenings at our Harrison Campus.
Responsibilities
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Knowledge of course content and learning objectives of assigned course(s).
- Ability to develop and effectively deliver course content/objectives and facilitate an effective learning environment for students to maximize their success.
- Knowledge of computer and educational technology and ability to effectively integrate technology into the classroom.
- Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable working in a close, collaborative manner with other faculty and administration.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree within Manufacturing or Journeyman's Card preferred.
- Minimum of an Associates Degree, or 4,000 hours working within Manufacturing or an equivalent with extensive work experience is required.
Experience:
- One – three years of teaching experience preferred. Or 4,000 hours of professional work experience within manufacturing industry.
Working Environment:
Normal classroom and/or laboratory environments with little, if any discomfort due to heat, dust, noise and the like.
Course assignments will be on both campuses, and may include both day and night classes, and assignment to courses taught in a high school or online environment, if needed.
Ability to travel to Harrison and Mt. Pleasant campus locations.
