Position: Seasonal Acting Staff - The Dead End Hayride
Location: Wyoming, MN
Overview: The Dead End Hayride seeks enthusiastic individuals to join our acting staff for an immersive and thrilling experience. As a seasonal actor, you'll be responsible for entertaining and scaring guests while adhering to safety guidelines and maintaining high show quality. Requirements:
- Minimum age requirement: 16 years or older.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
- Physical stamina for a demanding role; footwear with ankle support is mandatory.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Availability for late-night shifts, including weeknights and weekends.
- Commitment to character portrayal and performance excellence.
- Respect for colleagues and willingness to collaborate in a team setting.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to wear assigned themed masks, makeup, and costumes.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions (rain, snow, cold, heat, etc.)
- Completion of a mandatory audition (don’t worry, it's not that scary!)
- Capacity to carry loads ranging from 15 to 30 lbs.
- Flexibility to undertake multiple acting roles/characters.
- Ability to perform under special effects such as strobe lighting, fog, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver entertaining and enjoyable performances for all guests.
- Adhere to The Dead End Hayride's policies to ensure a safe environment.
- Follow directions from management.
- Collaborate with coworkers to maintain safety and show quality.
- Provide a unique scare experience for guests, either individually or as part of a group.
- Sustain performances over extended periods involving walking, crouching, or jumping.
Compensation:
- Hourly pay ranging from $12.25 to $15.75
Employment Length:
- Approximately 1.5 months
Typical Schedule:
- Start time: 4:00-6:30 pm
- Weekly hours: 10-40 hours (subject to variation)
