Job Summary
The Fueler plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient fueling of aircraft and ground support equipment. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Fueler will be responsible for managing fuel inventory, maintaining fueling equipment, quality control, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Duties
- Safely fuel aircraft and ground support equipment according to established procedures.
- Manage fuel inventory levels and report discrepancies as needed.
- Maintain fueling equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and compliant with safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of fuel storage tanks and fueling systems.
- Conduct daily, weekly and monthly quality control checks.
- Document all fueling transactions accurately to maintain compliance records.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations during peak times.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations while performing duties.
- Additional duties in this role include: Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF), wildlife hazard management, janitorial duties, aircraft deicing, snow removal, aircraft towing and servicing, marshaling aircraft, preventative maintenance and other duties as assigned.
Skills/ Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Basic math skills for accurate measurement and calculations related to fuel quantities.
- Strong organizational skills to manage fuel inventory effectively.
- Leadership abilities to supervise fueling operations when required.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with aviate procedures is a plus.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Ability to work at heights up to 50 feet.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Safe and cautious driving skills.
- Customer service oriented.
- Eager to work
- Must be able to pass ARFF (Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting) physical test.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
