Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Retail Market Manager to oversee multiple financial centers within assigned area. This role is responsible for driving business growth, leading teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences, and ensuring operational excellence. The Retail Market Manager will develop and implement strategies to achieve performance goal, build strong community relationships, and foster an inclusive environment that supports employee development and engagement. Frequent travel to assigned locations is required.
Essential Duties
- Provides guidance, coaching, and performance management to Financial Center Managers and their teams.
- Develops and executes market strategies to increase deposits, loans, and other financial products and services.
- Ensures delivery of exceptional customer experiences that align with the bank’s service standards.
- Takes ownership of escalated customer service issues and/or requests, proactively seeking answers and/or providing solutions and follow up to ensure customer needs have been met.
- Monitors and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Assesses risk and makes appropriate decisions when situations arise that are presented for decisions or feedback.
- Manages budgets and resource allocation to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Builds and maintains relationships with key clients, businesses, and community organizations.
- Identifies and develops talent to support succession planning and organizational growth.
- Represents the bank in the local market by participating in civic and community events.
- Promotes the bank’s brand and services to drive community awareness and trust.
Education & Qualifications
- A B.S. or B.A. degree in a related field of study normally required; specialized retail banking education and training.
- A minimum of six (6) years' experience in related positions normally required.
- Proven track record of achieving business growth and operational objectives.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop actionable strategies.
- Frequent travel to all financial centers in assign market. Travel throughout bank footprint as required.
Skill(s)
Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations, communicative and sales skills; a thorough knowledge of retail banking operations and current lending regulations, procedures, and operations; proficient PC skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; demonstrated management and supervisory skills; ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach with hands or arms, use hands to manipulate objects, handle or feel, and lift items weighing 50 lbs. or less; visual, auditory and speaking skills; valid driver’s license is required.
