Mid-Plains Center for Behavioral Healthcare Services is currently seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to work in our Crisis Stabilization Unit. This unit is a 12 bed, mental health stabilization and medically assisted detox unit, and is the only unit of its kind in the state.
Nurse will work 12 hour PRN shifts. Mostly NIGHT shift.
Nurses will perform medical risk assessments on each client, collaborate with medical practitioners for initial and ongoing medical orders, and address daily basic medical needs of admitted clients.
Nurses should have knowledge in the area of medical triage, completing basic medical assessments, and maintaining an accurate medical administration record. This position requires the individual to assess, interpret, and document results of the consumer in triage. Nurses will develop and assist consumers in addressing short term medical needs and collaborate with medical practitioners and team members to determine best-care treatment options.
Requirements:
Certificate in Licensed Practical Nursing from an accredited program.
