Position: The primary responsibility of this position will be to maintain plumbing systems, but other skills, such as carpentry or equipment repair, are of high value. This requires both hands-on work and the ability to help manage a small network of contractors and suppliers. If you have a plumbing background and enjoy working with a team, this career may be for you. The North Platte Physical Resources Department manages facilities operations with our subdepartments Maintenance and Custodial. We are a team of approximately 20 people who work together with suppliers and other contractors to support the physical operations. Daily activities in our department include facilitating building repairs, groundskeeping, vehicle maintenance, fleet management, implementing facilities improvements, and receiving shipments. Our team provides essential support to all departments, faculty, and students.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum four years documented work experience in plumbing. Basic computer knowledge, good communications skills, and a valid driver's license are required. Pipe fitters and journeyman plumbing license preferred. Experience in both residential and commercial preferred. Other trade experiences and versatility are of significant value. The candidate should be able and willing to learn additional skills on the job and be cross-functional. The ability to communicate in multiple languages is helpful.
