Mid Sioux Opportunity is seeking a dedicated Child Care Consultant to improve the quality of child care in Iowa. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, or a closely related field.
As a Child Care Consultant, you will provide on-site consultation, evidence-based coaching, and technical assistance to non-registered Child Care Homes, Child Care Development Homes, Licensed Child Care Centers, and Preschools. You will promote inclusive and culturally-appropriate child care policies and services, meeting CCR&R regional expectations and performance measures.

You will be responsible for assisting child care businesses with Child Development Home, Child Care Assistance, and Iowa Quality for Kids (IQ4K) applications, submitted to the regional office with 100% accuracy. Additionally, you will report allegations of child care abuse, child neglect, and non-compliance to DHS, as well as report non-compliance with child care regulations to the Iowa Child Care Complaint Hotline.
