Job Description:
The Child Care Consultant will provide on-site consultation, practice-based coaching, and technical assistance to non-registered Child Care Homes, Child Care Development Homes, Licensed Child Care Centers, and Preschools. The consultant will promote the use of inclusive and culturally-appropriate child care policies and services, meeting CCR&R regional expectations and performance measures.

The consultant will promote the use of inclusive and culturally-appropriate child care policies and services, meeting CCR&R regional expectations and performance measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site consultation, evidence-based coaching, and technical assistance to child care providers.
- Promote inclusive and culturally-appropriate child care policies and services.
- Meet CCR&R regional expectations and performance measures.
- Assist with Registration of Child Development Homes.
- Report allegations of child care abuse, child neglect, and non-compliance to DHS.
- Report non-compliance with child care regulations to the Iowa Child Care Complaint Hotline.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education with Early Child Endorsement, Child and Family Services, or closely related field.
- Excellent computer, organizational, and office skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, and follow directions.
- Maintain professional behavior, attitude, and confidentiality.
