Title: Parts Manager - Single Location

Job Objective:

The Parts Manager is responsible for managing parts operations in a single location to maximize return on investment through, optimizing parts department’s processes, inventory management, customer satisfaction, growing profitable in parts sales and exercising discipline expense control. He or she is ultimately responsible for the integrity and accountability of the parts inventory through a series of audits and process improvement and development.

Responsibilities:

· Ensures the store is open and parts department is properly staffed to support parts needs during established business hours.

· Analyze parts inventory needs regarding seasonal needs.

· Ensures that parts stock is sufficient to meet sales requirements for all models of equipment operating in store coverage area.

· Coaches departmental employees to make sure best practices are being utilized.

· Ensures that all orders are placed, tracked, received, and inventoried per company guidelines.

· Follows up on shortages/backorders and expedites issues as needed to meet demand.

· Maintains order and cleanliness in all parts areas including showroom, office, counter, and warehouse.

· Monitor departmental performance metrics and makes necessary adjustments as needed.

· Communicate with upper management regarding inventory issues.

· Initiate and prepare monthly and annual inventory surplus parts return to vendors.

· Ensure wholesale compensation and obsolescence criteria are met and obtained.

· Maintain a controlled parts inventory, identify variances, and implement corrections.

· Ensures that all Parts Department employees follow standard operating procedures.

· Manage and control perpetual inventory stock counting and inventory accuracy checks.

· Minimize overstocks and removal of obsolete or redundant parts.

· Ensure that all parts in stock are well organized and controlled to sufficiently support internal/external sales demand.

· Supervise and control workload of parts personnel.

· Ensures parts department is adequately staffed to cover both customer and internal business demands throughout various seasons.

· Maximize use of all order discount programs.

· Follow up on all parts returns and credit request.

· Control purchase and ordering procedures to maintain department profitability.

· Codes and submits invoices to accounting for timely payment.

Job Specifications:

· High school diploma required.

· 5 years’ experience in parts inventory control and management.

· Working knowledge of the products we sell and support (preferred).

· Experience with Inventory Management Software.

· Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and projections.

· Works well in collaboration with others.

· Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work efficiently.

· Strong written and oral communication.

· Strong problem solving skills.

· Microsoft Office proficient.

· Excellent math skills.

· Must be detail oriented and self-motivated.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
