Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Cosmetology Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various cosmetology practices and a desire to educate and inspire the next generation of beauty professionals. This role involves teaching students in a classroom setting, developing lesson plans, and providing hands-on training in techniques such as hair styling, aesthetic treatments, and nail care.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Educate students on a variety of cosmetology practices, including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, esthetic laser treatment, and nail care.
- Provide hands-on training to students in practical skills such as hair styling and aesthetic treatments.
- Create an engaging classroom environment that fosters learning and encourages student participation.
- Assess student performance through evaluations and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to ensure the curriculum remains relevant.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
Experience
- Proven experience as a cosmetologist with expertise in various techniques including deep tissue massage, hair styling, aesthetic treatments, trigger point therapy, and esthetic laser treatment.
- Previous teaching or adult education experience is preferred; familiarity with lesson planning is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with adult learners in a classroom setting.
- A valid cosmetology instructor license is required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 per week
