This is an hourly position with a range of pay from $23.00-$30.00 dependent on experience.

What You’ll Do

• Utilize Revit and CAD drafting to develop designs for:
• Engineer-provided redlines
• Heavy industrial electrical rooms
• Underground conduit plans
• Cable tray layouts
• Lighting and receptacle layouts
• Plant grounding systems
• Fire protection and control systems using Ethernet over copper and fiber optic networks
• Create single-line diagrams and point-to-point termination drawings.
• Perform electrical calculations and quality control reviews on department drawings.
• Participate in weekly and monthly engineering staff meetings.
• Maintain a professional and cooperative attitude within the team and company.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.

What You Bring

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Edge, Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Expertise in computer-aided drafting (CAD) software, including Revit, SolidWorks, and Inventor.
• Ability to read and interpret vendor electrical drawings accurately.
• Strong attention to detail to identify design interferences and layout issues.
• Ability to self-check work for accuracy.
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Familiarity with industrial power distribution, motor control, single-line diagrams, grounding, lighting, and receptacle layouts.
• Understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures in an industrial setting.
• Capability to gather field data for electrical modeling in Easy Power power-study models.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with team members, management, clients, and vendors.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Computer-Aided Drafting from a two-year college.
• Minimum of five (5) years of documented experience in heavy industrial electrical design.
