Job Summary
Under minimal supervision, performs basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures, as requested by a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in providing health care services, applying x-ray energy, to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly. Is multi-skilled in the additional area of mammography including biopsies and other breast procedures. Will also perform procedures in Bone Density procedures. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Produces high quality diagnostic radiographs; assists practitioner with percutaneous localizations, biopsies and aspirations of the breast; optimizes mammography procedures by completing QA-QC protocols. Knowledge of all ACR and MQSA standards.
Education
Required: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
Preferred: associate degree or bachelor’s degree
Experience
Required: 1-3 years in diagnostic mammography radiography
Certification
Required: ARRT (R),(M), TN State Radiology Technologist Licenses
