Rehab Technician| Rehab Therapy Department
Clarksdale, Mississippi | Full-Time
Mid South is seeking a Rehab Tech to join our rehab therapy TEAM at a hospital in Clarksdale, Mississippi.
The Rehab Tech supports the efforts of Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, Physical Therapy Assistants and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants in providing services to patients and facility(s) as directed.
Principal Job Responsibilities
Assists in the transporting of patients for rehab treatment appointments.
Supports Therapists in treatment of patients in walking, positioning, applying splints, wound care, and other prescribed treatments.Assists in the maintenance and uploading of patient documentation into Health Information Management System.
Maintain proper and timely patient medical files.
Assists Therapists in ordering and maintaining therapy equipment/supplies.
Appropriately orders and manages necessary clerical supplies.
Sanitize and clean rehab equipment daily.
Maintain temperature log of hydrocullator and paraffin bath to keep at a safe level for usage.
Clean hydrocullator and paraffin on a regular basis and maintain calibration on equipment.
Ensure timely correspondence with Employee Support Center, doctor offices, and facility administration by faxing, mailing, or scanning proper documents to the proper departments. Also checking the mailbox, email, and phone messages daily and responding to requests efficiently.
Maintains good working relationship with facility(s) staff/customer(s).
Follows company expectations in regard to HIPAA/Corporate Compliance policies and procedures.

Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a healthcare environment preferred
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must possess excellent organizational, time management, and leadership abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
Physical Requirements
- Job duties are generally performed in a clean and well-equipped area with uniform temperatures and normal noise levels
- Work alternates between sitting and standing with mobility necessary
- Average sight, talking, hearing, and touching are necessary
- Ability to lift turn, move, position and/or transport patient in/out of bed, chair, wheelchair with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to health or safety of him/herself or others, including patients their families, and co-workers.
- Must be able to drive between facilities and specific locations as needed
- Ability to administer CPR
