What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Mid South Steel?
Midsouth Steel, a well-established industry leader in steel fabrication has an immediate need for an experienced Maintenance Technician. This is a full-time position with a company offering a great culture and room for advancement.
The position will involve taking care of our facility in College Park, GA. Daily activities will include, safety checks, equipment inspection, preventative maintenance, pling, electrical work, and any other maintenance tasks that may need attention.
Ideal candidate will have experience with:
Electrical/ Low Voltage Work
Understanding low voltage (110-480v)/electrical circuity.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues.
Basic knowledge of PLC's.
Plumbing
Understanding of basic plumbing concepts.
Ability to troubleshoot plumbing issues.
Hydraulics
Understanding the flow of pressurized hydraulics, valves, and manifolds in a system.
Pneumatics
Basic understanding of air/pneumatic system flow, valves, and compressors.
Safety
Knowledge and work experience with high voltage and pressurized systems.
Understanding of lockout tag procedure.
Experience with oil spills and waste management.
Basic OSHA knowledge is a must.
