You will work closely with the project managers and team members to coordinate the handling, storage, and delivery of materials, contributing to the overall success of our projects. Hours are M-TH 5a-3p with optional required overtime Friday
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies
- Organize and maintain inventory in an orderly and accessible manner
- Prepare materials for delivery or pickup, including packaging, labeling, and securing loads
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist in loading and unloading of materials onto trucks and other vehicles
- Collaborate with project managers to prioritize material deliveries and pickups based on project schedules and requirements
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, transactions, and materials used
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and update inventory management systems accordingly
- Assist in resolving materials and supply-related issues or discrepancies
- Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations to create a safe working environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Material Handler in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of material handling procedures, equipment, and safety protocols
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately track and record inventory
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
