What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mech Helper position at Mid South Wire?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists Maintenance Mechanic, Tool & Die Maker, Tool Room Machinist, Set-up Maker, and/or Jig Maker.
- Assists in testing equipment to check operation after repairs, changeovers, and extended downtime.
- Assists in examining, testing, and measuring product from assigned equipment for quality specifications, using gauges and instruments.
- Assists in preventive maintenance inspection of assigned equipment.
- May oil and grease equipment if needed.
- Keep work areas clean and orderly. Responsible for conducting all works in a safe manner.
- May perform other duties as requested.
- May participate on project teams as requested.
