What are the responsibilities and job description for the MS1035 Chem Process Tech I position at Mid South Wire?
Conducts tests and field investigations to obtain data in determining sources and methods of controlling pollutants in air, water, and soil ensuring all city, state, and federal environmental regulations are met.

1. Conducts chemical laboratory tests, according to work instructions, to determine characteristics of solid or liquid substances.
2. Prepare chemical samples, test for appropriate chemical concentrations, and record data on proper forms.
3. Operate filter press to remove solids from waste water.
4. Operate forklift as needed.
5. May operate Scanacon, and make the changers if necessary.
6. May maintain process tanks to ensure proper concentrations and temperatures.
7. May perform other duties as required or requested by the lead man.
8. May participate on project teams as requested
9. Keeps work area clean and orderly. Responsible for conducting all work in a safe manner
10. Need to know how to load, and unload trucks.
11. Need to know how to calibrate PH probes.
12 Need to maintain proper PH that goes back to Metro.

Ability to compute and interpret statistical data. : Knowledge of personal computers.
