What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Specialist position at Mid-State Equipment?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for Delivering a Superior Customer Experience to all customers we come in contact with.
- Greet customers professionally as well as being responsive and courteous to all telephone requests
- Ensure internal and external customers receive the correct parts in a timely manner to include follow up on all “on order” and “hold” requests.
- Record all sales (including lost sales) and/or customer transactions using the Company provided systems and tools (i.e. PFW) and guidelines
- Assist in maintaining the retail sales floor and displays to meet or exceed the dealerships standards and ensure customer satisfaction
- Take a pro-active approach to inventory control by assisting and/or reporting discrepancies
- Prepare all paperwork as required, verifying same for accuracy and completeness
- Assist in accurately receipting and unpacking parts to keep stock in proper location
- Assist in keeping the parts department clean and professional
- Mark and store parts in the stockroom according to the prearranged system
- Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
- Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set
- Proactively stay current on industry and product information
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Understanding or previous experience in parts preferred
- Understanding of mechanical and technical terms
- Knowledge of parts operating systems preferred
- Excellent Computer skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 75 lbs.
- Walking or standing 90% of workday
