What are the responsibilities and job description for the Millwright position at Mid-State Industrial Maintenance?
Mid-State works in both the Aggregate and Agricultural sectors providing a wide range of Millwright services. The ideal candidate would possess the following skills, characteristics, and requirements.
Essential Duties
· Repair and maintain industrial equipment conveying systems, and major machine centers
· Able to read and understand drawings and printed instructions
· Must be a self-starter who can work safely under high-pressure situations
· Understanding of preventive maintenance
· Hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical troubleshooting
· Good communication and documentation skills
· Safe work habits
· Use of hand and power tools
· Operation of shop and maintenance related equipment
· Understanding proper alignments of process equipment
· Knowledge of rigging and material handling
Skills & Qualifications
· Must have a high school diploma or GED
· Must have a valid drivers license
· Must have a minimum of 2 years verifiable work experience as a Millwright
· Must have experience in aggregate or agricultural millwright services.
· Must be capable of performing skilled labor for up to 12 hours a day.
· Must be able to work on equipment 50 feet in the air on occasion.
· Must be willing to travel for work with some overnight travel necessary.
· Must be dependable and operate with a high level of integrity.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
· Welding, Fabricating experience is a plus.

· This is a non-exempt position.
· This position reports to a Foreman.
· This position has no direct reports.
Physical Requirements / Working Environment
· This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary (Monday - Sunday with some overnight work) and overtime is frequently required.
· Working environment is oftentimes in harsh elements (hot/humid and/or cold temperatures, rain, etc.) Industrial environments often have exposure to hazardous chemicals, moving heavy equipment, and other safety-sensitive hazards/risks. Must always be alert and able to safely perform the essential duties of the job without risking harm to oneself or others.
· While performing the duties of this job, you will:
o Frequently perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
o Frequently use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, moving materials, and manipulating things.
