Overview : We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Lineman to join our team. As a Journeyman Lineman, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical power systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities :
Installation and Maintenance : Install, maintain, and repair overhead electrical distribution systems.
Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve issues with electrical systems and equipment, including identifying faults and implementing effective solutions.
Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
Emergency Response : Respond to power outages and emergencies promptly, working to restore service safely and efficiently.
Team Collaboration : Work closely with other linemen, technicians, and engineers to complete projects and solve problems.
Documentation : Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment tested.
Training and Development : Stay updated on industry standards, technologies, and best practices through training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications :
Completion of a recognized Journeyman Lineman apprenticeship program.
Proven experience in electrical power line construction, maintenance, and repair.
Strong knowledge of electrical principles, equipment, and safety regulations.
Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Clean driving record.
Physical Requirements / Working Environment :
Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials.
Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary (Monday-Sunday with some overnight work) and overtime is frequently required.
Working environment is often in harsh elements (hot / humid and / or cold temperatures, rain, etc.) Industrial environments often have exposure to hazardous chemicals, moving heavy equipment, and other safety-sensitive hazards / risks. Must always be alert and able to safely perform the essential duties of the job without risking harm to oneself or others.

This is a non-exempt position.
This position reports to the Operations Manager.
This position typically has no direct reports.
This position is safety sensitive in nature, which means employee performs duties so fraught with risks of injury to self or others, or environmental injury, that even a momentary lapse of concentration or attention can have disastrous consequences.
