Scope
Oversee field operations at a designated work site for Mid-States Millwright & Builders (MMB), leading small teams of Millwright I’s, II’s, and subcontractors. Coordinate with MMB leadership, project managers, safety, sales, drafting, and operations teams to manage greenfield, expansion, and R&M projects. Ensure job site safety, document progress with photos, and complete daily reports in Acumatica. Handle all required job forms (JSA’s, equipment signoffs, hot work permits, etc.), ensuring clear communication across the organization. A valid driver’s license is required, as you may be assigned a company truck for employee transport.
Job Responsibilities
- Meet with job site owner’s representatives as needed and manage milestones with MMB teams, subs, and owner’s representatives on-site. Build relationships with every customer and their employees.
- Following project scopes for MMB and subcontractors necessary to completing a project on-time and on-budget.
- Site Superintendents are responsible for all Subcontractors, Millwright I’s and II’s in providing leadership, guidance and training all millwright direct reports in proper techniques to meet equipment installation specifications and MMB operational standards.
- Finish all jobs before moving onto new jobs – communicate when this has not been achieved to the Project Manager so all schedules can be amended.
- Following the project schedule and reporting back to the Project Manager daily what milestones have been achieved and what will be accomplished next. Daily feedback of hours used by task and pictures of job site completion of work is required.
- Hold and document weekly toolbox talks. Give guidance to on-site safety personnel and ensure all safety requirements are covered with all employees, subs, and owners on-site.
- Complete all tasks associated with administrative duties – obtaining POs on all equipment purchases in the field as required, managing Acumatica daily photos and descriptions of work tasks completed for the day. Completing safety related documentation as required by OSHA, MMB and customers (Daily JSA’s, equipment sign-out forms, etc.).
- Close out projects with punch list based on walkthrough with owner's representatives and sub’s representatives.
Qualifications
- Read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Strong Math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
- Able to lift to 75 lbs. and 50 lbs. repeatedly with minimal to no assistance up to 10-hrs in a shift in varying environmental and multiple ergonomic positions.
- Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Advanced knowledge of agricultural equipment, operation of such equipment and R&M of equipment and/or installation of new equipment.
- Excellent communication skills internally and with customers.
- 8 plus years of experience preferred in agricultural construction or a related industry.
- Meticulous, organized, and able to collaborate with other teams within MMB to track work on project schedules for MMB and subcontractors.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, planning and overseeing the installation of equipment and ensuring the proper fabrication of components on the job site.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
