The Lee’s Summit Distribution Center (DC) Operations Manager is a member of the Warehouse Team leading all aspects of the building operations. This role primarily focuses on overseeing the day-to-day and weekly execution of all aspects of the inbound and outbound operations to support the DC. In this role the expectation is that strong leadership qualities are demonstrated and the highest level of continuous improvement is implemented. The Operations Manager must be detail and process-oriented, have a bias for action, and can simultaneously facilitate multiple priorities and processes at the Mid-States DC.

The ideal candidate maintains a high standard of professionalism, is technically proficient, mentors others, leads by example in all facets of the role, is an effective communicator, demonstrates strong computer and analytical abilities, and possesses the aptitude to learn new systems and processes quickly.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Performs the necessary tasks to ensure inventory is received, stored, picked, packed, and shipped accurately. Must be detail-oriented, accurate and able to follow directions. The position requires the ability to work well within a team and exercise good judgment in all aspects of the work. This is a physical, hands on role that drives warehouse equipment about 25% or the time.

COMPENSATION:

Full-Time Pay! We will pay 40 hours if you commit to the weekend schedule.

Schedule:

Saturday, Sunday, 6a - 6:30p

Monday 6a - 2:30p

Every other Tuesday 6a - 2:30p

Compensation: $18/hour $3 weekend shift differential

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Work safely in an industrial warehouse environment
• Operate equipment as trained in a safe manner (ex: sit-down forklift, order picker, pallet riders)
• Interact professionally with leadership and co-workers in accordance with company core values
• Perform various functions in other departments around the building as business dictates
• Perform tasks with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Perform daily housekeeping tasks
• Perform tasks as trained and as efficiently as possible to meet production expectations
• Be present for all scheduled work shifts without a track record of calling out from work
• Perform other duties as assigned including duties outside normal responsibilities as needed
