What are the responsibilities and job description for the Structural Steel Fabricator position at Mid-States Steel?
Mid-States Steel Corporation is a 100% Employee-Owned company looking for a steel fabricator. The applicant must be able to read blueprints and tape measures, understand welding symbols and be able to lay out structural steel material according to fabrication drawings. Applicant may also have other job duties including general maintenance and operating overhead cranes that are handling large and heavy loads of steel. Applicant must be able to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis and be able to follow all safety guidelines that are put into place. We understand weekends are important to everyone and that's why our working hours are Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm with occasional overtime as needed. Work will take place in a steel fabrication shop environment. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age. A minimum of one year experience in fabrication and the ability to read a tape measure is required. Mid-States Steel Corporation is a very small company with excellent benefits and a low turnover rate.
