Description
The emergency department (ED) provider provides ED services within the scope of practice of his / her specialty; adheres to all treatment, procedure, and medication guidelines as directed by hospital policies and state or Federal laws; conducts self in a professional manner, strictly following confidentiality policies and working cooperatively, supportively, and respectfully with other staff, providers, patients, and families; regularly evaluates provider performance, providing constructive feedback and realistic expectations.
Requirements
Licensed in the state of Washington as a physician. Holds an unrestrained DEA license. Is Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine or Board certified / eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with greater than 2 years of ED experience.
Maintains up to date BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications.
Has the ability to communicate clearly and effectively; delegates and coordinates through leadership skills.
Has the ability to communicate with people of diverse backgrounds and educational levels, i.e. patients, families, employees, physicians, and staff.
EDUCATION : MD or DO physician
EXPERIENCE : Minimum of 2 years in an Emergency Department as a provider.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION / LICENSURE / REGISTRATION :
ACLS, PALS, BLS and ATLS are required upon hire and remain current.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS : Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; delegate and coordinate through leadership skills. Demonstrate professional behavior. Participate in continuing education and demonstrate motivation for continued self-improvement. Able to communicate with people of diverse backgrounds and education levels; patients, families, employees and physicians etc.

PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS :
May be required to work any shift in emergencies.
May be required to work any day of the week.
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
This person spends 95% of their time in a temperature controlled space. The potential for exposure to bio-hazardous agents or exposure to blood-borne pathogens and other potential infectious agents is high. This position requires contact with patients and staff under a wide variety of circumstances. This person is subject to varying and unpredictable situations, many interruptions, long irregular hours, multiple calls and inquiries, meetings, travel and night-time shifts. Works in the Emergency Department which encompasses a variety of patients (i.e. pediatric, psychiatric, geriatric, orthopedic, medical, surgical, detox and cardiac patients). Occasional stress during emergency situations.

Salary Description
Hourly range of $182 to $231 DOE
