Job Title: CNC Machinist
We are a custom machining and fabricating company seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to contribute to our team.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality parts and components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to ensure accurate production.
- Inspect finished products to guarantee they meet quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines and equipment in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements:
- At least 1-3 years of experience in machining or a 1-2 year technical degree.
- Able to read G-code proficiently and identify used G and M codes, X, Y, and Z movements per machine.
- Familiarity with FAPT writing for lathes and mills, including drawing out parts and creating programs.
- General knowledge of inserts, surface footage, speeds, feeds, tooling grades, geometry, and identification numbers.
- Familiarity with the machinist handbook and other machining references.
- Knowledge of tooling and machine equipment, including distinguishing between tools by their general name and uses.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints correctly, including identifying third-angle projections, machining vs. fabricating, tolerances, datum's, surface finishes, and section views.
