What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Start Teacher position at Mid-West New Mexico Community Action Program?
Provide effective and nurturing teacher-child interaction.
Plan and implement learning experiences that ensure effective curriculum implementation
Provide materials and equipment which will be stimulating to the children's interests
Provide experiences in a classroom environment that represent a variety of cultural, ethnic and diverse populations and is reflective of the families and children that we serve
Conduct assessments designed to assess a child's developmental progress
Develop an age-appropriate schedule and daily routine that promote learning opportunities
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
AA degree in Early Childhood Education or BA and equivalent coursework in early childhood education or related filed or have a minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or Child Development Certificate (CDC) comparable credential and be enrolled in school, in which a graduation date/program completion is within two (2) years.
Submit to and pass an FBI Criminal background records check (background paid for by the company)
Must speak English (Bilingual preferred)
Must have a valid NM State Driver's License, proof of insurance.
Must have a Physical and TB Test screener and submit a copy to the HR Department (physical and TB screener paid by the company)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.78 - $22.59 per hour
