Directs and exercises functional authority over all renewables activities associated with asset management projects. Coordinates and implements renewables asset management. Administers project contracts, manages the use of consultants and has fiscal responsibility for all assigned asset management projects. Responsible for the organization and direction of engineering and asset management to meet company objectives for improvement of existing renewable assets.
Monitor and develop strategic and operational plans for control, management and improvement of renewables asset management and for ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives. Coordinate and implement programs associated with asset management as well as investigate any new technologies as assigned. As requested, participates in the development of the corporate and departmental business plans. (25%)
Development and implementation of various renewable analysis¿, metrics and performance reports. (20%)
Directs and provides technical work in the planning, designing and procurement of changes or maintenance to MidAmerican Energy Company's renewable units. (15%)
Responsible for leading and supervising a team of engineers as they develop, test, modify, and create solutions to technical problems. (15%)
Plan, direct, monitor and report on all work flow aspects of the renewable asset management program. Assess renewable health and prescribe preventative maintenance routines for critical components. (10%)
Research and develop a formal renewable asset management program, and continually explore new technological solutions. (10%)
Ensure compliance with environmental policies, procedures and regulations. (5%)
Perform administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the department, including employee safety, selection and development of employees, salary administration, budget administration, employee counseling and motivation, organization goals and objectives, and planning, organizing, integrating, measuring, and reporting the work performed within the department. (5%)

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. (Typically six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.
Master's degree in engineering or business administration preferred.
Eight years of related experience, including three years project management responsibilities.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills. Effective interpersonal skills and leadership abilities. Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Project management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues and projects concurrently.
