The IT Enterprise Security Admin 2 is responsible for the day-to-day security administration of the organizations data systems and networks including systems access administration.
Administer tools for controlling network security access (LAN/WAN and telecommunications,) and for implementing and documenting measures to safeguard the network against accidental or unauthorized modifications, destruction or disclosure; activities related to the research, analysis, planning, development, implementation, operation and maintenance of the company's user and system security for Exchange, Active Directory, Mainframe, Unix, Telecommunications and remote access. (30%)
Perform user administration duties including lifecycle management for all end-users access including setup, rights provisioning and de-provisioning; auditing to ensure all systems access is appropriately approved and warranted. Creates data requests, queries and reports as evidence for Sox, NERC CIPS and general computing controls compliance requirements. (40%)
Troubleshooting of user access incidents; training of users and technicians; review operation logs and event consoles activity to determine cause of network security-related events or to identify potential security related events. (10%)
Controls environment procedural adherence, validation, testing, procedural design, and audit performance; monthly and quarterly self-assessments for remote access controls. (10%)
Responsible for maintaining access codes, and keeping auditors, facilities and security departments apprised of changes in network security procedures. Implements network security policies. Rapidly respond to a loss or misuse of network assets. (5%)
Provide after-hours support, participate in projects and perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. (5%)
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field or equivalent work experience. (Typically four years of additional related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)
A minimum of two years additional direct related technical experience is required.
Three years of experience related to security administration.
Three years of end user support experience in a client/server, network, mainframe and applications environment.
Microsoft certified systems administrator within 12 months of hire or equivalent work experience.
Technical proficiency in mainframe, server, database, and application security environments. Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
Ability to use problem management database. Strong customer service skills.
Ability to handle conflict and pressure. Ability to prioritize work for self and others, and able to persuade others of priority decisions.
Demonstrated technical knowledge and understanding of risk assessment procedures, authorization methodologies, authentication technologies and security attack pathologies.
