To install, remove, repair and maintain components of the gas distribution system and service operations to ensure superior service in terms of safety, regulatory compliance, reliability, customer satisfaction and value.
: 1. Works in a safe manner that complies with corporate safety policies and procedures and encourages safe working habits in others to ensure customer and employee safety. 2. Monitors the corrosion protection system and associated soil conditions to ensure adequate corrosion protection and to measure continuity of soil resistivity, electrical potential and similar conditions. 3. Installs, removes, repairs and maintains components of the gas distribution system, restores job sites, other related functions, and completes associated records to ensure a safe and reliable gas distribution system. 4. Operates pneumatic, hydraulic and engine driven construction equipment, such as backhoes, trenchers, jack hammers, boring equipment and plastic fusion tools to support construction and maintenance activities. 5. Responds to emergency situations in accordance with company policies to ensure customer safety and satisfaction. 6. Performs other related tasks as apparent or assigned.
Must meet all ability exam requirements where such exams exist. Must meet all physical requirements. Ability to learn construction and maintenance policies and procedures. Must have a valid state commercial drivers license. Must complete PE fusion training and obtain PE Fusion Qualification Certificate. Ability to learn company safety policies and procedures. Ability to learn to operate construction equipment. Willing to be available for overtime as workload dictates. This is a safety sensitive position which requires a drug screening test in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.
