About the Role:
We’re seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to lead architectural and casework projects from start to finish. As a key member of our project team, the Project Manager will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role demands strong leadership skills, a sharp attention to detail, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams. You will be the go-to person for project coordination, ensuring smooth execution at every stage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing questions, concerns, and changes in a timely and professional manner.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and other stakeholders to foster trust and collaboration.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Coordinators, Estimators, Drafters) to ensure seamless project execution and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Project Coordination: Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and critical milestones, ensuring all project deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
- Problem Solving: Resolve conflicts, clear up assumptions, and proactively address challenges to keep projects on track.
- Subcontractor Management: Manage relationships with installer subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project specifications and quality standards.
- Change Management: Oversee change orders and ensure all project adjustments are properly documented and communicated to all stakeholders.
- Site Supervision: Conduct field measurements and participate in site visits to monitor project progress.
- Billing & Financials: Work closely with the Project Controller to manage billing, track costs, and ensure projects are completed within budget.
Education & Experience:
- 3-5 years of project management experience in millwork, custom wood manufacturing, or a related field.
- A background in architectural woodwork or casework, with hands-on knowledge of the design, fabrication, finishing, and installation processes.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Solid understanding of the architectural woodwork and millwork industry, including project delivery methods and construction processes.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam; familiarity with project management software is a plus.
