The Job Description
This role demands on-site presence. The Accounts Payable Specialist reports directly to the CFO and plays a crucial role in assisting the accounting team with various tasks, such as financial transaction processing and vendor statement verification. Other key duties include reconciliations, employee expense management, and EDI uploads.
Key Accountabilities:
- Verifying vendor statements to guarantee accuracy and completeness
- Processing financial transactions and reconciling accounts payable to prevent errors
- Preparation and submission of bills, bank deposits, and invoices to facilitate smooth transactions
- Employee travel expense management
- EDI uploads to the accounting system for seamless integration
- Entering vendor invoices into Sage Peachtree for efficient tracking
- Providing support for special projects initiated by the department head
- Contributing to month-end and year-end closing reports to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of open AP listings and payable listings
- Performing additional tasks as required by the job
