Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized care to patients with mental health disorders and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes in mental health status
- Provide therapeutic interventions and emotional support to patients and their families
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatment options
Experience
- Previous experience in psychiatric nursing preferred
- Familiarity with coding and ICD-10 standards
- Experience in outpatient psychiatric settings
- Knowledge of infectious disease care protocols
- Experience working in nursing homes or long-term care facilities is a plus
- Familiarity with ophthalmology procedures is advantageous
- Proficiency in OR (Operating Room) procedures
- Understanding of ICD-9 coding is beneficial
