Position Overview
Bay Area Hospital is seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD) to deliver compassionate, evidence-based nutritional care across a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. Join our interdisciplinary healthcare team in supporting patients through conditions such as diabetes, oncology, renal disease, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient nutritional needs and develop individualized meal and care plans
- Deliver medical nutrition therapy for chronic and acute conditions
- Monitor and document patient progress in the EMR system
- Provide patient and staff education on nutrition and wellness
- Ensure compliance with Oregon state and hospital nutrition standards
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics (from an accredited program)
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or RD-eligible (must obtain within 1 year)
- Oregon Dietitian License
- ServSafe or Oregon Food Handler Certification (within 30 days of hire)
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Nutrition
- CDE, ONS, or Nutrition Support Certification
- Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
- 3 years in clinical/community nutrition (hospital preferred)
Skills & Requirements
- Proficiency with EHRs, Microsoft Office, and nutrition-specific software
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical duties (standing, bending, etc.)
