Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Progressive Care Nurse to join our team at a teaching hospital. The ideal candidate will have experience working with people with disabilities and possess , and ostomy care.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with various medical conditions
• Perform physical examinations and monitor patient progress
• Administer medications and treatments according to established standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Assist in ventilator management for patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and self-care techniques

Requirements

• Experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or similar setting
• Familiarity with sonography and ostomy care is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality patient care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Current NYS RN license.
• BLS required.
• ACLS required.
• PALS preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour
