About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced automotive technician to join our team at Midas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on customer vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex automotive issues using state-of-the-art computer systems
- Perform tire and tire repair services
- Work on car heating and air conditioning systems
- Repair steering and suspension systems
- Replace belts and hoses
- Work on radiator and engine cooling systems
- Install new batteries and perform starting and charging services
- Repair steering and suspension systems
- Perform brake and brake repair services
- Conduct oil changes
- Diagnose and repair check engine light issues
- Perform muffler and exhaust services
- Conduct visual safety and courtesy inspections
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, and engine diagnostics
- High personal productivity and ability to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of and adherence to safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
- Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, and scan tools
- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree a plus
- State-specific auto repair certifications a plus
- Valid driver's license
- Own tools and equipment (diagnostic scanner and tools preferred)
- Ability to service both foreign and domestic vehicles
- Clean and presentable individual who maintains a clean shop
Compensation
$1, $2,220.00 per week
